Behavioral Health Professional Training & Certificate Program (BHP) MAY 25

Children’s Behavioral Health Services are vital to Maine’s children with Intellectual Disabilities, Autism and Mental Health Disorders and their families. 

As an integral part of the child’s treatment team, a Certified Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) has the opportunity to make an immediate impact while helping a child grow and develop to their full potential.

The BHP Blended Course consists of 12 on-demand online modules (approximately 28 hours) that need to be completed BEFORE the virtual live session with a certified BHP instructor.

Thanks to funding being provided by Maine’s Department of Health and Human Services, the course fees ($200) are waived at this time! Students must have a high school diploma to participate. ONLY $25 administrative fee!

Per Program Policy: This class can not be refunded, however you can be moved into another BHP session if a conflict occurs. 

Please READ: Additional requirements to earn your BHP Certificate:

Ethics & Boundaries class (offered virtually, 2.5 hours) Please hold a date in your calendar as these are additional requirements for your certification.

Completion of an OSHA compliant Blood-borne pathogens (BBP) training (online course assigned to you in BHP Relias Learning Management System, .5 hours)

Child & Adult First Aid & CPR w/AED Certification (available through Woodfords Training & Resource Center - more information will be provided upon enrollment, 2.75 hours)

This session allows players the opportunity to work on their games skills!

Dates will vary and be announced later and ALL games will be at non-MSAD 52 fields. 

Players need: All field hockey equipment and a full water bottle

Mantra Marma Therapy

This is the Yoga of Sound and Energy. Learn techniques for for health and well-being based on the tradition of the Vedas. This class is led by Karen Vasil Busch, an experienced Licensed Massage Therapist and Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner. Students will need: yoga mat, blocks, blanket, strap and space to practice in their home.

Summer Track & Field Camp Ages 6-10

Get outdoors! Participate in track meets, develop skills and have fun!

Emphasis will be placed on the development  of technique and performance in different events (i.e. sprints, distance runs, relays, hurdles, long and triple jump, high jump, shot put, race walk, and turbo javelin)  Children are encouraged to participate in different events according to their age, interest and ability.

MEETS: There will be one optional meet a week starting in July (Typically Thursdays During the Day). There is an opportunity to attend a STATE CHAMPIONSHIP MEET AUGUST 8th for kids who  qualify. 

There may be an additional cost of $25 for a USATF membership to participate in meets. The membership will be done by the family’s at the USATF website. More information will be provided day 1 of practice.  (USATF MEMBERSHIP MAY NOT BE NECCESSARY) 

Meets are optional but will have an additional cost paid to USATF.

Practice Times: TUESDAYS

Ages 6-10: 4:30-6pm

Ages 11 and Up: 6:30-8pm

SIGN UP DEADLINE:  June 2nd @ Midnight  

Dates:  Starts June 6th - August 13th (And a Banquet, DATE TBD)

LAHS SUMMER BOYS BASKETBALL PROGRAM

This program is for players entering grades 9-12 and intending to play on the high school team. Coach Hathaway has detailed schedules.

We will have practices and scrimmages.  Varsity + JV will play in a league.
