Do you enjoy helping others? If so, this is the career for you!

Eastern Maine Development Corporation is partnering with Rey-ah Home Care and MSAD 52 Adult Education to offer No Cost, Personal Support Specialist Training! Here is what will be offered:

  • 60 hours of VIRTUAL CLASSROOM learning with an instructor.
  • Job shadowing so you can see an Personal Support Specialist in action.
  • Opportunity for an interview with Rey-ah Home Care upon completion of training.

No cost training!*

Please REGISTER by March 15th to attend a mandatory Orientation and Informational Session on MARCH 17th @ 9am via ZOOM. Please call us at 225-1010 to learn more!

NOTE: Student requirements

Must be able to pass a background check

Must be 18 years of age

HS Diploma or HiSet encouraged 

Must be able to read and speak English

Must have  own transportation – reliable vehicle, license, insurance

Must be physically able to assist customers with meal prep, light housekeeping, shopping, hygiene (bathing, toileting), activities such as reading to them or playing games to help with memory, etc.

 *Eligibility Requirements include family income and employment status.

Behavioral Health Professional Training & Certificate Program (BHP) SESSION 8

Children’s Behavioral Health Services are vital to Maine’s children with Intellectual Disabilities, Autism and Mental Health Disorders and their families. 

As an integral part of the child’s treatment team, a Certified Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) has the opportunity to make an immediate impact while helping a child grow and develop to their full potential. The BHP Blended Course consists of 12 on-demand online modules and the virtual live session with a certified BHP instructor. Thanks to funding being provided by Maine’s Department of Health and Human Services, the course fees ($200) are waived at this time! Students must have a high school diploma to participate. ONLY $25 administrative fee!

SESSION 8 DATES: 3/18/21 - Thursday, 8a.m. - 4:30p.m.

Please READ: Additional requirements to earn your BHP Certificate:

Ethics & Boundaries class (offered virtually, 2.5 hours) Please hold a date in your calendar as these are additional requirements for your certification.

o   1/26/2021-5:30-8pm

o   2/4/2021-1:30-4pm

Completion of an OSHA compliant Blood-borne pathogens (BBP) training (online course assigned to you in BHP Relias Learning Management System, .5 hours)
