Discover the basics needed to get started in the exciting hobby of beekeeping. Assemble hive equipment, use a smoker and veil, acquire bees and install them in a hive, inspect and manage a hive throughout the seasons and of course produce honey!

Carol Cottrill is a former president of the Maine State Beekeepers’ Association and has held a number of other positions within Maine’s beekeeping community, including president of the Western Maine Beekeepers’ Association. She’s been beekeeping for years and has dedicated a fair amount of time over the years to sharing her knowledge with other beekeepers.

He bought himself a ukulele at a yard sale for $2 and started playing. He is an instructor with the adult ed program in at Mt. Blue where he is teaching others much
more than the art of the uke!
If you have never picked up a uke, no-problemo! Learn the fundamentals and start playing songs right away! Develop enough portable skills to enable the uke to be your longtime pal. If you have a uke and tuner-bring them! Uke-less? We have loaners available!
